Your hosts, Peter, Shelley and daughter Mimi, arrived here in the winter of 1995, fresh from a two year trip around Australia.

With just a caravan to live in, we set about establishing an organic farm and building our residence and cottages from recycled building materials.
We had left a city lifestyle, choosing instead to get back to basics and learn to appreciate the simple things in life; good food, good company and an environment full of beauty and surprises.

With all of the hard work behind us, we look forward to sharing this beautiful part of the world with you.

The work continues on a different level; maintaining gardens that we share with the native wildlife and our domestic animals.

We are also growing, as the name suggests, the Indian spice Turmeric, as well as ginger and galangal for the local organic market.

Should you want solitude, you’ll get it, and if you fancy a conversation over breakfast or a cuppa we’ll happily oblige.
